Description

A clear glass vessel seated in a turned wooden base, made for growing plants in water rather than soil. The glass lifts free of the base for filling and cleaning, and the timber does the two things glass alone cannot: it stops the vase sliding on a smooth tabletop, and it hides the least attractive part of hydroponic growing, the tangle of roots at the very bottom.

It suits pothos, monstera cuttings, lucky bamboo, hyacinth bulbs and any cutting being rooted before it goes into soil, and it works just as well as a plain bud vase for a few short stems. The proportions are deliberately narrow, so a single cutting stands upright instead of leaning against the rim, and the clear glass lets you watch roots develop, which is most of the appeal of growing this way.
