Description

A double-walled pot that waters the plant for you. The inner cup holds the soil and the plant; the outer reservoir holds water and draws it up as the soil dries, so the plant takes what it needs instead of what you remember to give it. The translucent outer wall means you can see the level at a glance and refill roughly once a week rather than checking daily.

At 12 x 10.5cm it fits a desk, a kitchen windowsill, a bedside table or a bathroom shelf, and it suits pothos, peace lilies, herbs, spider plants and most small foliage that prefers steady moisture to the drought-and-flood cycle of hand watering. Five colours are available - white, grey, blue, green and pink. The sealed reservoir also solves the other desk-plant problem: no saucer to overflow, and no ring left on the furniture.

Moulded from PS plastic that resists corrosion and deformation, does not yellow quickly in light and stays odourless in use. Empty and rinse the reservoir every few weeks to stop it going stale, and let the soil dry slightly between refills for plants that prefer it drier. Not intended for cacti or succulents, which want the opposite watering pattern. Linden & Oak Co. ships across Australia and New Zealand.

Made For People Who Forget

The lower chamber holds a reservoir and the plant draws from it as it needs to. Fill it, walk away, and come back to a plant that is neither drowned nor bone dry.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do I need to refill it?

For most desk plants, every one to two weeks. The reservoir is transparent, so a glance tells you where the level sits instead of poking a finger into the soil.

Can I overwater a plant in this?

That is the problem it solves. Water stays in the lower chamber and the plant wicks up only what it uses, so the roots are never sitting in a saturated pot.

What size plants fit?

At roughly 12 x 10.5cm it suits desk sized greenery: pothos, succulents, herbs, small ferns and cuttings taking root. Anything larger will want a full sized pot.

Will it leak onto furniture?

No. The double layer construction seals the reservoir, and there is no drainage hole in the outer wall, so it can sit directly on timber, a windowsill or an office desk.

Does the plastic degrade in sunlight?

The PS body is corrosion resistant and made to hold shape without warping. Bright indirect light suits both the pot and most of the plants that go in it.
