Description

Double-walled glass with an air gap between the layers, so a latte appears to float mid-air and the outside of the cup stays comfortable to hold. That same gap slows heat loss, which keeps a long black hot well past the point where a single-wall glass has gone tepid, and stops condensation beading off an iced coffee onto the table.

Two sizes cover the range: 85ml for espresso and cortado, 350ml for latte, tea, cold brew and beer. Both are available singly or in sets of two and four, and the handmade borosilicate construction is CE, EU and CIQ certified with no high-concern chemicals. Linden & Oak Co. favours borosilicate here because it takes a hot pour straight from the machine and a run through the freezer without complaint, and because the clarity does not cloud with repeated washing.

Hand washing is best for the seal between the walls, though a gentle top-rack dishwasher cycle is acceptable. Do not use in the microwave, and never pour boiling water into a glass taken directly from the fridge. If moisture ever appears between the layers the seal has failed and the cup should be retired. Layered drinks, matcha lattes and affogato all look their best in these.
